About the service
Why not just keep an eye on customers myself?
Checking dozens of companies by hand takes time, and it's easy to miss the one change that matters. We watch every company on your list around the clock, sort each change by how serious it is, and put it all in one email.
Is this a credit rating?
No. We report facts as they change. We don't score companies or tell you whether to give credit.
Will it stop me losing money if a customer fails?
No service can promise that. What it does is tell you sooner, so you have more time to decide what to do, such as chasing an invoice, reviewing credit terms or getting advice.
How can I get more information about a company?
We tell you when something changes. For the full picture before you give credit or raise a limit, use our sister service findcompany.info. Searching is free, and a report shows how the company pays its suppliers, its credit score and recommended limit, filed accounts, county court judgments and who owns it. A single report is £12, less in a pack. More about findcompany.info.
Which companies can I watch?
Any UK registered company or LLP, including those registered in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Sole traders and ordinary partnerships aren't registered companies, so we can't watch them.
Alerts and digests
How quickly will I hear about a serious change?
Usually within about 15 minutes of the change being made public. We send at most one immediate alert per company per day.
Will I hear if another creditor takes a customer to court?
Yes. When a creditor asks a court to wind a company up, you get an immediate alert with the hearing date, usually well before the company's record changes. Stop adding to what you're owed and take advice: payments a company makes after a petition can sometimes be reclaimed.
Do you check customers against the sanctions list?
Yes, every day. If a customer, or a business with the same name, appears on the UK sanctions list, we tell you straight away so you can check before you trade.
Will a company that's already in trouble set off an alert?
No. You only hear about what changes after you add it, so there's no flood of old news on day one.
Can I choose when the digest arrives?
Yes. Choose a daily digest at any hour, a weekly digest on Monday at 07:00, or turn digests off. Immediate alerts can be turned off separately.
What if nothing changed?
Then we don't email you. A quiet inbox means nothing has changed.
Your data
Who can see my list?
Only you. We don't sell your list or any personal data. See the privacy notice for the detail.
Plans and account
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. Watch one company with the full service, for as long as you like, with no card needed.
What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
Nothing is deleted. If your list is over the new limit, we pause the most recently added companies and you choose which to keep.
I'm an accountant. Can I watch companies for several clients?
Yes. The Business plan lets you keep a separate list for each client, each with its own labels, and upload lists from a CSV. If you need to keep watch on your own business clients, see ongoing KYB monitoring.
How do I close my account?
An administrator can close it from the Plan page in your account. That deletes your lists, team and settings and ends any paid plan. If you're stuck, send us a message.
